With Cori you are getting an athlete who is willing to learn a new system, and lead a team to a goal. She is a great athlete and a great student who leads by example not by being overly vocal. She is very aggressive, competitive, and quick and has the potential to be one of the best middle infielders in the country. I would not hesitate to put her on the field in big game situations, she keeps her head and makes plays. Most importantly for any program, Cori is and would be a great utility player, she has many skills in multiple positions.”

The best part about coaching Cori was that she was always willing to learn and improve. Cori will be a great asset to any college team, she has great speed, she is an excellent base runner with tremendous athletic ability, she has improved her offense by being able to hit from both sides of the plate.”

Michael Velasquez, Tempeton HS (805) 674-0389… “Corrine Ford, better known as Cori has been a player for the Templeton Varsity Soccer Team since she was a sophomore. She has earned a spot as a starter and can play well in several positions on the field. Cori’s quick decision making and execution make her an excellent player in the midfield. Cori also has tremendous speed, which makes her an asset to the offensive line as an attacking striker. Cori’s ability to run extremely fast is what caught my attention the first time I saw her play. She was by far the quickest player on the team. I utilized her talent and speed, and placed her in positions that would cause havoc to opposing teams. Aside from Cori’s athletic ability she also contains qualities that make her a leader. She leads by example; during practices as well as games, she offered more than any other player on the field. Her teammates would see her and follow in her footsteps. In my experience, Cori is a good listener; she needs to be told to do things only once. She comprehends tasks given to her quickly and efficiently. I would consider her to be a very coach able player and overall, I am very pleased to be known as Coach to Corrine and the Ford Family."

Absolute team player genuine love of sports, always willing to give that extra effort, hard working, having played College level sports, I have no doubt of Cori’s ability to excel. She is always my pick for team captain, she leads by example.”

Gil Pena, Central Coast Express (805) 934-4943… “Great attitude will do anything she”s asked. Very strong and accurate throwing arm from outfield. Can play any middle infield or outfield position at a high level. Offensive versatility also. Excellent slapper/ bunter but can also hit stationary in RBI situation. Dedicated to the sport, will play/ practice” anyone, anytime, anywhere, smart and puts team before self. Cori doesn’t always play with the confidence someone with her ability should. On occasion shell let a ball drop in shallow center that I think she can get a glove under. She could still increase her infield range a bit. I’ve never once questioned her effort on a play, maybe occasionally her aggressiveness. I think Cori would thrive in a smaller environment, but that’s not a level of competition thing. More a personality thing. I think she could compete at any collegiate level. She’s strong academically. Any program that values speed, versatility, arm strength and intelligence would be a good fit.”
